The Open
Our Great British Summer of Sport continued at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club for ‘The Open’.
On the Course
At one point, the rain appeared to be receding, and we ventured out onto the course armed with our newly acquired umbrella emblazoned with ‘The Open’ branding.
On the Deck
The venue did, however, afford us a position to watch the 16th green from an outdoor terrace with a roof which ran the entire length of the room. All we had to do was stand back sufficiently far from the edge to stop the rain being blown from the roof landing in our champagne.
