European Escape: Jersey
I’d never been to the Channel Islands. Whilst it was not high on our bucket list, it ticked several boxes as somewhere we’d never been and a good place to take mum and dad for a few days away together.

Mum & Dad
With the rain lashing down outside for much of our stay, we took afternoon tea and played games in the lounge of the family run country house hotel we had booked.
Longueville Manor
Longueville Manor is a wonderful hotel, everything about the place was quite splendid, and the staff were all lovely.

Jersey War Tunnels
The next day, we decided to find out more about the story of the occupation at the Jersey War Tunnels, a partially completed underground hospital complex built by the occupying forces, known to them as Hohlgangsanlage 8. The one kilometre of tunnel that was completed now serves as a museum.
